The 10-minute check I'm running this January

Last year was a build year. Most of it went into developing X1, with income showing up whenever it felt like it. Some months heavy, some months nothing.

That's exactly when estimated taxes go sideways.

Jan 15 is the real deadline for Q4 estimates. W-2 is easy. Founders, K-1s, and "income spiked this year" is where the gap hides.

Underpayment interest hit 7% annualized in mid 2025. A small miss costs more than a 10-minute check.
